A Chinese Export Porcelain Child Size Tea Set c. 1790
Each monogrammed, 'MMcC', and decorated in blue and gold with a grapevine motif, comprising: a teapot, covered creamer, tea caddy (no lid), wastebowl, small serving bowl, two lobed dishes, six saucers, five handled cups and five cups without handles. The lot also includes a matching teapot and covered creamer in a different pattern.
Dimensions: from 2in to 5 1/2in diameter, the heights range from 1/4in to 4in.
Provenance: From a Main Line, Philadelphia collection.
Condition
The wastebowl has a small rim chip, one saucer has a rim chip, and the creamer in the other pattern has a discolored line to the body. All show expected wear to the decoration.
