The September 20th sale at Locati marks the first of the 2026/2027 season and features over 450 lots of furniture, fine and decorative arts, including porcelain table wares from Versace, Hermes, and Herend. Additionally, there is a collection of 40 lots of historical photographs led by a Civil War-Era Carte de Viste of Sojouner Truth and a group of early 18th century and later historical documents relating to the Van Buren and Persen families of Kingston and Ulster Counties, New York. 19th albumen prints, comprising: in the 4 x 2 3/8in format: the Prince Edward and Princess Alexandra of Wales, eight cards by E. Neurdein, Paris, comprising Marie-Louis-August-Catherine, Louis II, Charlotte of Wales, Wilhelmine-Anne-Louise, Ferdinand Maximilien, Madame Elizabeth, Princess Marguerite, and Empress Marie-Louise, three cards by Chales Jacotin of various aristocratic subjects, and five other French cards by various makers, two Roman cards, one of Pope Leo XIII, two Stockholm, Sweden Cards, two cards depicting Waterloo including the Lions Mound, and three German tourist cards, in the 6 1/2 x 4 1/4in format: a card depicting two women of Grodenthal, a St. Petersburg portrait of a woman, a French portrait of a woman in Swiss clothing, and a Brussels portrait of a woman in country garb. 

 

Provenance: From a Princeton, NJ estate.

Condition

Scattered stains, delamination of the card stock, abrasions, and toning as pictured.
