The September 20th sale at Locati marks the first of the 2026/2027 season and features over 450 lots of furniture, fine and decorative arts, including porcelain table wares from Versace, Hermes, and Herend. Additionally, there is a collection of 40 lots of historical photographs led by a Civil War-Era Carte de Viste of Sojouner Truth and a group of early 18th century and later historical documents relating to the Van Buren and Persen families of Kingston and Ulster Counties, New York. A Group of English 19th Century Literature

 

Comprising: Burnet's The History of the Reformation edited by George Elwes Corrie, published 1847 by John W. Parker, London, three volumes of the Diary and Correspondence of John Evelyn (missing vol. IV) edited by William Bray, published 1870 by Bell & Daldy, London, The Century of Queens, published 1873 by James Miller, NY, a nicely bound copy of the collected poems by Alfred Tennyson Vol. I, published 1875 by James R. Osgood & Co., Boston, and a two volume set of Old England, A Pictorial Museum of Antiquities published by James Sangster & Co. (with old 19th century inscriptions by the owners apparently form Chestnut Hill, PA). Also included is a two volume set Almack's Revisited or Herbert Milton by Charles White, published 1828 by J. & J. Harper, NY, inscribed to the owner for 1874.

Condition

Various states, signs of light strike to the covers, the leaves with varying , toning, scattered foxing, general signs of degradation and expected shelf wear overall and signs of age to leather elements.
