Highlights include a newly discovered work by Leonard Tsuguharu Foujita, an impressive Imperial quality Chinese floor screen, Chinese cloisonne, pottery and porcelain from the 12th to 20th centuries, bronzes from India and Southeast Asia, art including works by Pierre-Charles Comte, H. A Group of Three Painted Country Articles, 19th/ 20th Century

 

Comprising: a pantry box with bail handle in original red paint, a staved firkin with swing handle and later blue paint, and a diminutive milking stool with turned legs and a historic brown-painted finish.

 

Dimensions: 11 1/2 in. diameter, 6 1/2 in. high (the pantry box); 8 1/4 in. diameter at base, 7 1/2 in. high (the firkin); 6 3/4 in. diameter at top, 6 1/2 in. high (the stool)

Condition

The pantry box with general minor rubbing, scratches and wear.  The firkin with flaking chips and losses to paint throughout, with some surface crazing.  Small loss to top lapped band.  The stool with scratches and wear, areas of paint splotches.  One leg with old glued repair.
