The base circa 1780, with ogee bracket feet, below four graduated dovetailed drawers and fluted quarter columns, the hinged lid opens to reveal an interior with a central prospect door, which opens to reveal two cubby holes and a small drawer, the prospect door is flanked by six drawers and eight cubby holes. The associated top section with two paneled doors, adjustable shelves, and cubby holes.40" at the waist x 20" D, the writing surface height is 32" and the overall height is 83".
The feet are original. One rear foot facing has an area that is detached but present. There is a shrinkage crack on one side and a repaired shrinkage crack on the other. The brasses are replaced. The top section is in good condition.
