A Set of Four Old Paris Dinner Plates

 

First half of the19th century, four dinner plates with gilt decoration of flowers, oak leaves, and dragonflies above a green ground with painted vignettes of flowers, each plate with a central decoration of an arrangement of flowers. 

 

Dimensions: 10 in. diameter

 

Provenance: From a Main Line, Philadelphia collection. 

Condition

No apparent chips or cracks, minor expected losses to gilt and painted elements, scattered knife marks.
