An American Chippendale Pine Tall Case Clock, Circa 1800-1810. The white-painted arched dial, having Roman hours and Arabic minutes, hand-painted bird to the lunette, with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the twin train eight day movement striking on a bell, the broken arch bonnet top above fluted colonnettes flanking the dial door, the trunk with rectangular door above a molded box base, raised on bracket feet.

Dimensions: Height 88 1/4in; width 20 3/4in; depth 11in.

Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection. 

Condition

Structurally sound. The case in an overall refinished condition. General marks, wear, nicks, dings, abrasions and surface scratches overall. The painted dial with craquelure throughout and repainted numerals to the date aperture. With pendulum, two weights and a winding key. The brass finials are probably later added and missing pieces of the sphere. We cannot guarantee the functionality or completeness of the clock's movement.
