An American Three-Piece Gilt Brass Figural Girandole Garniture, Cornelius & Co., Philadelphia, Mid 19th Century. Comprising a three light girandole depicting Daniel Boone / Leather-Stocking group with Native Americans and a pair of single light girandoles, each depicting a uniformed officer. Each incised to the reverse 'Cornelius & Co. / PATENT. APRIL. 10. 1849', and raised on rectangular white marble bases.

Dimensions: Height of three light girandole 19in; width 17 1/4in; depth 4in; Height of single girandoles 17in; width 5 3/4in; depth 3 1/4in.

Condition

The gilding with wear, rubbing, toning and minor areas with verdigris throughout. Rubbing to gilded surface especially to high points. The garniture is lacking all of its cut glass prisms. The marble bases with heavy fleabites and chips along the edges.
