An American inlaid and crossbanded mahogany tall case clock, mid 19th century, the white painted arched dial having Roman hours and Arabic minutes with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the twin train eight day brass movement striking on a bell, the broken arch bonnet top having gadrooned swans neck terminals, Corinthian column supports and tombstone shaped glass to either side, the waist with a short door, flanked by Corinthian column supports, above a concave molded box base, raised on paw feet.Height 99; width 22in; depth 9 3/4in.From a Main Line family.
Condition
The case retaining its original surface; very dry. Scattered losses and movement to veneer. Hood missing small tomb stone glass shaped glass on the left side. The white painted dial with scattered losses to pain decoration. With pendulum and two weights. We cannot guarantee the completeness and functionality of the clock's movement.
