An American Carved and Polychromed "Inside Row Jumper" Carousel Horse, Attributed to The Philadelphia Toboggan Company (PTC), Circa 1930-1932

Mounted with glass eyes, retaining an old re-paint.

Dimensions: Height 47in; width 13in; length 64in.

Provenance: By repute from the Asbury Park, New Jersey Carousel #87, built by The Philadelphia Toboggan Company (PTC) in 1930 and purchased directly from the carousel when animals were sold off beginning in 1984.

Acquired from above by present owner.

Footnote: The PTC #87 carousel mechanism is now located at the Family Kingdom Amusement Park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with replica animals.

 

Condition

In an old re-paint. General expected surface wear and minor losses the to the surface throughout.
