An Edwardian Satinwood-Inlaid Mahogany Bureau Bookcase, Early 20th Century
In two parts; the upper portion with an inlaid and shaped pediment punctuated by urn form finials above a pair of glazed doors opening to reveal three adjustable shelves; the lower portion with a fall-front desk drawer inlaid with paterae and swags above a two-door cabinet inlaid with urns and bell-flowers at corners, all on french feet.
Dimensions: 32 in. wide, 19 in. deep, 92 in. high
Condition
Together with keys. The fall-front desk opening to reveal a fitted interior with burlwood-veneered short drawers. The lockplate stamped "GR" surmounted by a crown and "PATENT". Some patches to veneer and stringing. Other minor losses. Repaired breaks to front feet. Brasses replaced and with plugged holes.
