A Biedermeier Rosewood Inlaid Figured Walnut Pedestal Desk, 19th Century

The rectangular top having an inset black leather writing surface above a hinged pull-out writing surface, raised on a pair of pedestals, fitted with four small cupboards about a central kneehole.

Dimensions: Height 31 3/4in; width 45 3/4in; depth 28 1/4in.

Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection.

Condition

The leather top and writing surface inside the drawer is in generally good condition overall. The lower left door is not attached at the hinges. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, surface scratches and small losses throughout. The interior fitted with later drawers, etc. No key.
