A Chippendale Walnut Two-Part Corner Cupboard, First Quarter 19th Century. The upper section having a broken swan neck pediment with floral carved terminals, centered by an urn-form finial, above a single glazed arched door flanked by fluted quarter columns, the shaped interior shelves fitted with plate rails, the conforming lower section having a pair of raised panel cupboard doors, above a molded base, raised on ogee bracket feet.
Dimensions: Height 90in; width 45 1/2in; depth 24in; corner 24in.
Provenance: Property from a Local Estate.
Condition
Structurally sound. In an overall restored condition. There has been extensive rebuilding and restoration to the upper 1/3 of the top section. The molded pediment, tympanum, rosette terminals, and finial are later replacements. The feet are later replacements. Scattered small replacements and repairs throughout. One glass pane is cracked. The upper cupboard is currently locked.
