Eight Pieces of English Creamware Table Wares, Mid to Late 18th Century

 

Comprising: two graduated shaped oval platters; a Leeds sauceboat modeled as a scallop shell and with feathered rims, the entwined strap handle with floral terminals; a teapot with flower finial, gooseneck spout, molded fluting, and entwined strap handle; a Staffordshire relief-molded pecten shell teapot; a relief-molded cup and saucer; and a Staffordshire relief-molded sauceboat with rococo scroll motif against a basketweave.

 

Dimensions: 18 1/2 in. x 14 1/2 in., the largest platter

Condition

The platters with some scratches, minor discoloration, and minor nicks.  The fluted teapot with chips small loses to spout and restoration to handle.  The scallop shell sauceboat with some chips to base.  Other spots of discoloration, and scattered wear and scratches.
