Two Continental glazed earthenware apothecary / drug vessels, 18th century, comprising an English pearlware pitcher with an applied strap handle, inscribed "SYR.GID." and a Dutch Delft glazed earthenware pitcher inscribed "SYR: / GARD: BENED:".Height of tallest 9 1/2in; width across handle 6 3/4in; depth 4 3/4in.
Each appears to be in generally good condition overall, typical marks, wear and firing and glazing imperfections. The English example with a small flea bite chip to the foot. The Dutch example with a surface hairline to the foot.
