Four Continental glazed earthenware apothecary / drug jars, 17th/18th century, comprising three Italian maiolica albarellos, one example inscribed "EBORIS:" and a French faience jar with later tin lid inscribed "Butyr: Muscat:".Heights range 6 1/2in to 9in.
Each appears to be in generally good condition overall, expected typical marks, wear and firing and glazing imperfections. The example with text has a vertical hairline to the rim and crazing overall. The smallest example with a large chip loss to the rim and crazing overall. The French example with a later tin lid.
