Four English Delftware Tin Glazed Manganese and Polychrome Decorated Earthenware Plates, Bristol, Circa 1750
Attributed to Thomas Cantle, Temple Back Pottery. Decorated in the Chinese taste centered by a seated female with fan relaxing under the shade of a curved bamboo tree, the border with alternating reserves of bamboo foliage and trellis diapering. (4)
Dimensions: Diameter 9in.
Provenance: Purchased with Nimmo & Hart Antiques, Middletown Springs, Vermont, January 27, 1982.

Condition
Typical firing and glazing imperfections. Wear, roughness and flakes to rim and foot. Stilt marks visible to reverse.
