The September 20th sale at Locati marks the first of the 2026/2027 season and features over 450 lots of furniture, fine and decorative arts, including porcelain table wares from Versace, Hermes, and Herend. Additionally, there is a collection of 40 lots of historical photographs led by a Civil War-Era Carte de Viste of Sojouner Truth and a group of early 18th century and later historical documents relating to the Van Buren and Persen families of Kingston and Ulster Counties, New York. French 19th and 20th Century Literature

 

Comprising: Four volumes of The Memoirs of the Duke of Sully (missing Volume 1) translated to English by Charlotte Lennox, published 1817 by Edward Earle, Philadelphia, a Two Volume set of Oeuvres de Moliere, published 1854 by the Librairie de Firmin Didot Freres, Paris, a three volume set of the Memoirs of Monsieur D’Artagnan by Courtly de Sandraz, translated to English by Ralph Nevill, 1925 edition by H.S Nichols Ltd., and a two volume set of Fontaines Fables illustrated by Suzanne-Raphaele L’agneau, from a numbered edition on Rives paper, published 1930 by Henri Cyral, Paris.

Condition

The 19th century examples with expected deterioration to the binding shelf wear, foxing, and toning, the Memoirs of D’Artagnan leaves with scattered separation from the spine and toned, the 1930 published fables are in good condition.
