Comprising: Two copies of the History of Lycoming County, Pennsylvania with Illustrations, 1892 edited by John F. Meginness, published by Brown, Runk & Co., Chicago Il., a two volume edition of the Geological and Personal History of Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, 1906, edited by Emerson Collins and John W. Jordan, published by the Lewis Publishing Co. NY/Chicago, a history of New York City: The New Metropolis, Memorable Events of Three Centuries 1600-1900, edited by E. Idell Zeisloft, published by D. Appleton & Co., Who's Who in Pennsylvania volume I, 1939, published by The A.N. Marquis Co, Together with: three plates, one from the 1892 Lycoming history depicting Samuel Humes (pg. 321), and two from the 1906 Lycoming history depicting Samuel Humes (pg. 60), and Hamilton B. Humes (pg. 57), and two framed mid 19th century lithographs of Lock Haven, PA and Jersey Shore, PA. 

 

Dimensions: the books from 9 x 7in, to 10 x 13 1/2in, the framed prints are 22 1/4 x 27 1/4in 

 

Provenance: From descendants of Elizabeth Morris Wistar. 

Condition

The books in various states of preservation, all toned, most of the bindings heavily deteriorated from age as pictured including detached covers.
