A Neoclassical Style Carved Marble Fire Surround
The rectangular reverse breakfront mantel above a heavily stepped and molded cornice, above a conforming dentil and Greek key carved frieze, centered by an urn, all resting on scrolled mantel legs with carved laurel leaves to the knees. In three parts.
Dimensions: Height 43 1/4in; width 46 1/4in; depth of top 6 1/4in; interior 32 3/4 x 32in.
Provenance: Property from a Greater Philadelphia Estate.
Condition
In three main parts. With general marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, scuffs, surface scratches and small losses. Chips and fleabites along edges of marble.
