A Pair of Portrait Miniatures of Child Siblings, First Half 19th Century. Watercolor, unsigned. Comprising a young girl and boy, the girl wearing a brown dress and coral necklace; the boy wearing a dark blouse. Each in an ebonized rectangular frame with cast brass hangers.
Dimensions: Sight 2 1/2 x 2in; Frames 4 3/4 x 3 3/4in.
This lot comes from an Upper West Side, New York City collection that will be featured in a short lecture by noted specialist of portrait miniatures, Elle Shushan. Condition
Not examined out of the frames. Each portrait appears to be in generally good condition overall. Scuffs, marks, wear and small losses to the frames. One frame with a cast brass hanger that is loose.
