A pair of gilt bronze mounted Sevres style porcelain urns, circa 1900, each decorated with a Classical maiden and putto in various pursuits, both singed 'R. Pelt' lower left, the bronze mounted each indistinctly stamped to the underside..Height 15 1/2in; width across handles 5 1/2in; depth 4 3/4in.
Typical wear, rubbing and toning to the gilding, small areas with verdigris. Rubbing, wear and small losses to the gilt heightened decoration. One urn appears to be in generally good condition overall. The second urn with one socle completely restored, underside with yellowing/discoloring to old restoration. The surface matte to the touch. Gilt bronze mount to top is loose. Likely lacking porcelain covers.
