A Pennsylvania Empire faux grain painted tulip poplar chest of drawers, second quarter 19th century, the rectangular top low backsplash over an outstepped top drawer over three drawers flanked by shaped pilasters, raised on turned feet.Height 48 3/4in; width 41 3/4in; depth 20 1/2in.
Structurally sound. Retaining an old painted surface. Alligatoring / craquelure to the surface overall. Scattered scuffs, scratches and loss to painted surface overall.
