Thayer Starr was born into a prominent Boston family, the daughter of Ezra Ripley Thayer, dean of Harvard Law School. She studied under Philip L. Hale at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and was awarded the Julius Hallgarten Prize at the National Academy of Design in 1929. She exhibited at Wildenstein gallery in New York, as well as the Copley Society and Child's Gallery of Boston.
Condition
Not examined outside frame. In very good overall condition. Some yellowing to mat. The frame with expected scratches, rubbing and wear.
