A Renaissance Revival carved walnut hall chair, third quarter 19th century, the broken arch crest rail above a burl inset back splat, the hinged seat enclosing a shallow storage compartment raised on turned tapered legs.Height 44 3/4in; width 19 1/4in; depth of seat 15 1/2in; seat height 17 1/2in.From a Bucks County collection.
Structurally sound. With minor repairs and reinforcements throughout, the left stile with an age crack, glue blocks are possibly replaced, otherwise in generally good condition overall.
