A Southern Federal walnut and yellow pine hunt board, first quarter 19th century, the two-board rectangular top above a deep apron fitted with a single drawer, raised on tall yellow pine square tapered legs.Height 33 1/2in; width 43 1/4in; depth 21 1/2in
Structurally sound. Retaining an old surface. The two-board is joined with a pinned mortise and tenon joint to the center middle. The top with shrinkage where the two boards meet, with expected marks, wear, surface scratches, gouges and liquid stains. The drawer runners with heavy wear and have become loose. The drawer fitted with a later partition, the turned knob on the drawer is possibly later replaced.
