Two American Fancy Polychrome Paint Decorated and Stenciled Hearth Brooms, First Quarter 19th Century. Decorated with floral and leaf motifs, each having horsehair brushes.
Dimensions: Lengths 23 3/4in and 27in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition
General wear commensurate with age and use. Each broom with small losses to the horsehair bristles. Nicks, abrasions, and surface scratches.
