Two Modern Chairs by Charles and Ray Eames, and Michel Arnoult

 

Comprising: A molded plastic, chrome-plated steel, and upholstered DCMU side chair, c. 1970, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller, with manufacturer's mark to underside 'Designed by Charles Eames Herman Miller Zeeland, Mich.'; and an imbuia and leather sling chair designed by Michel Arnoult for Forene S.A. Moveis do Nordeste, c. 1960.

 

Dimensions: 20 1/4 in. wide, 17 1/2 in. deep, 30 1/2 in. high, 19 in. seat height (Eames chair); 19 1/2 in. wide, 19 in. deep, 31 in. high, 17 in. seat height (Arnoult chair)

Condition

The Eames chair in original condition with wear to upholstery.  Crack to rubber element on back of seat.

 

The Arnoult chair with partial paper label to the underside.  Wear to leather, including fading, scratches and dryness.  Minor scratches and wear to frame.
