An early Victorian Irish Killarney fruitwood marquetry inlaid yew wood and mahogany work table, mid 19th century, the hinged top with a large patera depicting Killarney's St. Mary's Cathedral amongst floral, vine and shamrock inlay, enclosing a fitted interior of small compartments above a deep well, the inside of top with similar inlaid treatment centered by a patera with harp and shamrocks, raised on an octagonal support with circular platform base and carved paw feet.Height 27 1/2in; width 22 1/2in; depth 16 1/2in.
Structurally sound. Retaining an old surface. The top with shrinkage, age cracks, movement and small losses to veneers throughout. The fitted interior lacking some dividing components and possibly some lids. Typical dings, dents, scuffs and surface scratches. No key.
