A Federal Mahogany Desk-and-Bookcase, New England, c. 1810-1820
With a pierced and scrolled pediment above two glazed doors, with fitted fall-front desk interior above four long drawers on French feet. Original pressed brass pulls.
Dimensions: 44 in. wide, 18 in. deep, 92 1/2 in. high
Provenance: From a local collection.
Condition
Together with key. The bookcase with two adjustable shelves. One drawer runner lacking. General nicks, marks, scratches and evidence of wear. The fall-front interior possibly previously fitted with writing surface. Shrinkage crack to fall front lid. Some losses to stringing around drawer fronts.
