An American Sheraton pine desk on frame, second quarter 19th century, having two short drawers with unusual fret carved gallery above a hinged writing slope enclosing an open well, having two short drawers below, raised on a frame with turned tapering legs.height 42 1/2in; width 22 3/4in; depth 20 1/2in.From a Bucks County Estate.
Structurally sound. In an overall good refinished condition. Retaining original glue blocks to frame, with later cast iron brackets for reinforcement to reverse. Lock Plates lacking to the hinged well and small drawer. With Key.
