An English Brass Skeleton Timepiece / Mantel Clock, Charles Frodsham, London, 20th Century

The pierced frame having four pillars, with pierced chapter ring having Arabic numerals, blue steel hands, the single train fusee movement with wire lines and anchor escapement, having a spring suspended pendulum, stamped 'MADE IN ENGLAND' to reverse, all on a brass oval base with plaque inscribed 'Charles Frodsham / LONDON', resting on a rectangular rosewood veneered base ending in brass feet. Including a rectangular glass and brass framed case.

Dimensions: Height of clock 10 1/2in; width 14 1/2in; depth 10 1/4in; height overall 11 1/2in.

Provenance: From a Philadelphia Main Line Collection.

Condition

Toning to the engraved plaque on the base of clock. With pendulum and winding key. The suspension spring on pendulum is torn and needs to be fixed. The glass case has two small cracks to the glass. We cannot guarantee the completeness or functionality of the clock's movement.
