A Federal Style Inlaid Mahogany Serpentine Chest of Drawers, by Biggs, Richmond, Virginia, 20th Century
The string inlaid and crossbanded rectangular top with serpentine front over a conforming case, fitted with five graduated drawers with stringing and cockbeading, all above a scalloped skirt to front and sides, centered with a fan paterae, raised on 'French' feet. With branded manufacturer's mark to the interior of top drawer.
Dimensions: Height 35 1/2in; width 37in; depth 20 1/2in.
Provenance: From a Main Line, Philadelphia Collection.

Structurally sound. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, surface scratches and small losses to the case. With key.
