Fort Bumer, Chalfont PA, Redware Plates and Vessels
By Paul Boehret, circa 1950's and including an early work dated for 1939, comprising: a 5 5/8in pie plate marked "PB / 1939", three pie plates ranging from 6 to 7 5/8in with underglaze decoration, two 6 1/2in bowls with decoration in relief one of a cow the other of hunting dogs, a 6 5/8in ashtray with central spread wing eagle, two vases/planters from 3 1/2 to 4 1/2in tall, a 4 1/2in tall jug, and a 10in tall donut jug marked for "J.S". Together with three earthenware plates ranging from 5 3/4in to 10 1/4in two of which being Mexican.
Condition
The Fort Bumer/Boehret pieces of the lot are in generally good condition with some expected surface wear.
