A George III Mahogany Hall Clock, Retailed by Baily Banks & Biddle Co., Philadelphia, Late 19th Century. The hood with broken arch pediment, the trunk having fluted chamfered corners with lamb's tongue terminals, flanking the beveled glass long door above a molded and paneled plinth base. With applied foliate carving to the tympanum and plinth base. The arched brass dial with rolling moon phase, having an engraved silvered chapter ring with applied brass Arabic numerals, blue steel hands, with silvered plaque inscribed 'BAILY BANKS & BIDDLE Co. PHILADELPHIA', with subsidiary seconds dial and date dial within foliate cast spandrels, the twin train movement striking on a single gong. The brass bob of the pendulum engraved "HELEN THOMAS SULLIVAN / PRESENTED BY / Mr. & Mrs. John E. Creth / MAY 6th 1902."
