A pair of French gilt bronze and marble six light figural candelabra, 19th century, the foliate candle branch arms supported by putti above a low carved marble fluted column mounted with gilt bronze garland swags on a hexagonal marble base.Heights 26 3/4 and 27 1/4in; diameter 13in; base 5 1/4 x 5 1/4in.
Nicely cast. The putti and marble bases have been drilled for electricity. Wear, rubbing, toning and some darkening to the gilding overall, heaviest to high points. One candelabra is lacking a bobeche to one nozzle. The nozzles have not been drilled. The marble with scuffs, scratches, flea bites and small losses throughout.
