A Pennsylvania paint decorated tulip poplar blanket chest, circa 1800, the strap hinged rectangular top with applied molded edge enclosing a dovetail-constructed box with a left covered till, raised on short bracket feet.height 23in; width 52 1/2in; depth 22 1/2in.
Structurally sound. Having a refreshed surface with touch-up to the paint decoration throughout. Small losses and repairs to the molded lift top.
