A Swiss parcel ebonized, cut brass and marquetry inlaid rosewood cylinder music box, late 19th century, the movement numbered 29695, with a 12 inch brass cylinder, together with four 13 inch brass cylinders in an oak dovetailed case, late 19th century.Height of music box 8 3/4in; width 20 1/2in; depth 8 3/4in.
The music box case with wear, loss and movement to inlay and veneers. With typical marks, nicks and scratches, overall. Lacking its original tune sheet. We cannot guarantee the completeness, functionality or working condition of mechanical movement. With case key. The oak dovetailed box housing the four additional cylinders is in good condition overall, typical marks, wear, scratches and shrinkage cracks. The cylinders appear to be in generally good condition, although they have not been tested for playability.
