Circa 1901, Platinum over gold brooch featuring a reverse hand painted crystal of purple iris flowers. On either side of the crystal is openwork design with Greek key motif outlined in rose cut diamonds. The pin looks like it has British hallmarks, and the date letter V. Measures: 1.75in x 0.52in Hallmark: maker mark that ends with &S, V in oval. Acid test indicates the metal is at least 14karat gold and platinum. Gross Weight: 5.7dwt / 8.9grams Overall good condition with normal signs of wear, consistent with age
