Locati, LLC is pleased to offer the Americana collection of Bill and Nancy Haase which includes a good number of painted decorated furniture and other accessories. Also included are nearly three hundred objects from various estates and collections. Art by Robert William Wood, Joseph Barrett, Raymond Guerrier, Peter Arno, Ben Benn and others. Two German Violins 

A German violin made in Mittenwald, c.1910, labeled: Joseph Guarnerius fecit/ Cremonae anno 1736 IHS. The two-piece maple bk of narrow curl descending slightly. The maple ribs of narrow curl. The maple head of faint medium curl. The varnish a deep red color. 

Measurements: Length of back 356mm, Upper bout 170mm, Center bout 115mm, Lower bout 207mm.

 

A 3/4 size violin from the Karl Meisel workshop, labeled: labeled: Karl Meisel/ Geigen Bass und Cellobau/ Made in West Germany. The two-piece maple back of faint narrow curl.  The varnish an orange-red color.

Measurements: Length of back is 337mm or 13-3/4".

Condition

The full sized instrument has several repaired cracks to the top and a repaired back crack, the 3/4 violin is in good condition. Both have scattered surface abrasions.
